WED'ZE Fit 900 Adult Freeride Ski Touring Boots - Blue

WED'ZE
4.2/5
Our freerider designers have designed these boots for skiers who don't limit their playground to ski lift-accessible slopes. If you are attracted to freeride hiking, these boots enable you to go for short climbs (500 m altitude difference) to get to a good slope without compromising skiing ability.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Sizing

Narrow feet (last 100mm), light liner: Light and comfortable liner without thermoforming. Preformed foam around the ankle bones. The liner is designed to optimise skiing ability, weight and freedom of movement when skiing downhill.

What is flex?

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This figure determines the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher the figure, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 70 is considered best for skiers up to intermediate level. A flex level of 70 to 90 is intended for intermediate skiers. Beyond that, products are intended for advanced users. Heavy builds can, however, go up a level.

How do you try on ski boots?

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn't right for you. Once you've fastened your boots, you need to flex 3 times while pushing your calves forward (put your hands on your knees), which will push your heel back into the boot. Stand up straight: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.

How to get your ski boots on/off easily?

Pull the tongue forwards and towards the outside of the feet: this fully opens the shell, making the boot much easier to put on.

Suitable for freestyling

By fitting downhill skiing soles (provided with the boots), these boots can also be used for Freestyle skiing.

How to change my hiking soles for downhill skiing soles?

Times: 15 minutes
1/ Unscrew the heel pad insert screw.
2/ Unscrew the 3 heel pad screws and pull it back to remove it. Warning, do not lose the small black chock.
3/ Remember to screw back the heel pad insert so that you don't lose it.
4/ Position and screw in the downhill skiing heel pad.
5/ Unscrew the 4 screws on the front end stop.
6/ Remove the end stop by pushing it forwards. Warning, do not lose the small black chock.
7/ Position and screw in the toe piece.
