TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Footwear waterproofing test. Tested in laboratory and in use, these shoes, equipped with a Waterproof membrane, will ensure optimal impermeability and breathability. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking, half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3 levels of waterproofing. In our waterproofing tests, we test 3 levels of waterproofing:
2000 flexions (approximately 4 km walk)
4000 flexions (approximately 8 km walk)
8000 flexions (approximately 16 km walk).
Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
Shoe waterproofing level. The TREK 500 hoe is validated on the impermeability test in 8000 flexions or 16 km walk in water up to mid-upper.
Lab tests Laboratory tests were conducted to test the following elements:
- torn hooks and eyelets
- bonding of the sole
- toxicology
- UV resistance
- abrasion of the sole and of the components of the upper
- accelerated aging.
Care instructions Use a brush and/or a sponge to clean the shoe and remove dirt or mud residue.
Then, air dry away from a heat source.
Finish with a nourishing cream to keep good leather flexibility and extend the lifespan of the shoe.
