Technical Information

A word from the product manager

The Endzone 500 Jib is our most playful board in the lineup. We wanted it to be easy to handle but also be a freestyle board: playful, easy to handle, fun..! Don't hesitate to tell us what you think in the customer comments.

The Endzone 500 carves a little less on slopes than the Serenity 500, but it's very playful in parks, both for rail lines and jump lines. On-piste, it's easy to use in tight turns and offers a pretext for playing at the edges of slopes. With its flat camber with rocker and its soft twist between the feet, it is suitable for the very good freestyler who wants a playful board but also a real beginner interested in freestyle.

Twin Tip snowboard

It is a Twin Tip shaped snowboard. The board's front and rear sidecuts are completely symmetrical, offering perfect centring and symmetry for riding in both directions in the same way. The Twin Tip shape also offers total balance when turning (on the ground, in the air).

Flat camber + rocker

A flat camber is the ideal compromise between a standard camber, which offers edge grip and energy response, and a reverse camber, which is good for handling rotations but offers relatively little edge grip. It is ideal for park freestylers and beginners because:
- the flat camber improves stability, on modules and groomed slopes;
- the rocker makes it more forgiving on parks and groomed slopes, because the 4 corners of the board don't touch the snow when the board is flat.

Supple, forgiving flex

Flex, stiffness of the board between the front and rear.
The flex of the Endzone 400 Jib is about 2/5, which is supple and forgiving. This type of flex is very homogeneous from the front tip (nose) to the rear tip (tail), offering very predictable cornering with no surprises. This flex, which is designed for freestyle use, also allows you to have fun on the flat (ollies, nollies, butter, nose roll, etc.). But it is also suitable for beginner snowboarders.

Supple, forgiving torsion

The flex, i.e. the torsional stiffness of the board between the feet, is about 2/5 on the Endzone 400 Jib, making it easy to handle, easy to turn and forgiving of edge mistakes. Supple torsion enables freedom of movement between the feet. It is important for beginners: since edging mistakes are forgiven. The supple torsion is also suited to freestyle/jib/flat use.

0 mm setback

The setback is when the board's compression points with the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance.
0 mm setback, these are fully centred Twin Tip boards, not only for riding in both directions, but also for better balance during rotations in the air and on slopes.

When do I wax my snowboard?

Wed'ze boards are supplied already waxed.
They require regular maintenance just like all snowboards and skis: ideally requires waxing every 5 outings and at least once a year:
-either at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide
-or at the end of the season to nourish the base in depth and allow the wax to penetrate into the base throughout the summer"

What's the right size Endzone 400 Jib for me?

In Freestyle, use a fairly short board: -20 to -25 cm (for example, someone of 1m74 height, can take a board between 154 and 149 cm).
Taking a smaller board makes rotations and figures easier. Taking a bigger board allows you to be more stable at high speed and on landing.
146 cm => 1 m 60 to 1 m 71
151 cm => 1 m 69 to 1 m 76
156 cm WIDE => from 1 m 74 to 1 m 81

What is the snowboard width?

A "Wide" board is a board that is wider than normal, to prevent "large" feet from touching the snow when turning a little too sharply and making you fall.
From size 10 upwards, it is best to choose a "Wide" board.
""Wide"" is the width of the board at the centre. At Decathlon, we have defined them as follows:
- up to 250mm : normal board
- 251 to 259 mm: medium wide
- above 260 mm: wide
