Technical Information

Safety instructions

WARNING: Always wear protective equipment (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads) when scootering.
Most serious accidents take place during the first few months, so take the time to thoroughly read the instructions and learn the basics to master speed and braking in any emergency situation and whatever the weather conditions (particularly on wet terrain).

How long is the battery life for this electric scooter?

- Max speed: 25 km/h
- Battery life of up to 10 km
The battery life mentioned above is measured in the following conditions:
A constant speed of 15km/h, a user weighing less than 70kg, and a wind speed of less than 10km/h.
The speed and battery life will always decrease the heavier the user, the greater slope, the stronger the headwind and the lower the temperatures are.

How do you start the scooter?

Start the scooter by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button on the console.
As a safety measure, the scooter must be started with a manual push.
Pressing and letting go of this button will trigger one of two modes.
- walking mode, where the speed is limited to 6km/h (indicated by the blue "walking" light)
- assistance mode, with a max speed of 25km/h

How is the assistance triggered?

It's automatic! Push your scooter along at the speed you want. The system will record your top speed and maintain it. You do the accelerating, and your scooter does the rest.
When you brake, the scooter records the speed at which you let go of the brake and keeps the electrical assistance at this speed. If you want to accelerate again, you can do so by pushing with your foot.
The assistance works between 6km/h and 25 km/h.

How do you control your speed?

The handlebar trigger and foot brakes will cut the electrical assistance and slow the scooter.
The handlebar trigger is a magnetic brake, while the foot brake is a mechanical one that works by pressing on the wheel.
Always keep both hands on the handlebar and your thumbs close to the trigger. This will let you regulate your speed and stay in control. You should also keep your back foot near the rear mudguard at all times so that you can brake effectively in an emergency.

How do you know how much battery is left?

The battery level is indicated by 5 blue gradations on the console.

What type of battery does the scooter have? How do you charge it?

Samsung 2.5 Ah / 36 V /90 Wh lithium-ion battery
Max charge time: 2,5 hours.
To charge it, simply connect the charger to a socket and the scooter.
The charging port is located under the deck, near the steerer tube.

How do you stop?

Slow down before you hit any obstacles (such as kerbs) and wait until the scooter is completely stationary before dismounting.
When going downhill, the assistance will cut out if you go over 25 km/h, but the scooter will keep freewheeling. We recommend staying below 25km/h. Please note that the engine brake will kick in if you go over 30 km/h to stop you going too fast.

What is the power of the motor wheel?

How much does the scooter weigh?

What is the max user weight for the scooter?

100kg.It is designed for carrying a single person.

Scooter maintenance

We recommend checking the condition of your scooter before and after every ride (unusual play, cracks, or sharp edges). The wheels and bearings are wearing parts. Be sure to check them regularly and replace them if necessary.
You can repair and extend the lifespan of your scooter with spare parts that can be ordered through your local Decathlon store's Workshop.

Can the KLICK 500 survive the rain and splashes of water?

The KLICK 500 is IPX4 rated.
This indication means the product is suitable for use in any weather condition, and can withstand heavy water spray. However, it will not withstand being submerged in water.
We also recommend riding carefully in damp weather, and avoiding slippery surfaces (manhole covers, pedestrian crossings, etc.)

Do you need insurance?

An electric scooter is subject to the same third-party insurance requirements as motorised vehicles such as motorcycles and cars.
Check with your insurer to find out if you already benefit from coverage or if you should take out special coverage before using your scooter.

When and where can you use it?

It is important to be aware of local laws.
If you are riding at night, we recommend adding front and back lights and wearing a safety gilet. The scooter comes with clips that are designed for attaching B'Twin's Vioo lights, which are available in Decathlon stores.

Can you open or modify the product?

Opening or modifying the electrics is risky and will void your product's warranty. If you're having a problem, please visit one of our workshops to get your scooter serviced and repaired.
