WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CROSS TRAINING?

Cross training is an excellent cardiovascular activity.
It is low-impact and helps to:
- develop endurance
- tone the entire body
To improve your cardio respiratory endurance, your muscle and bone mass, and maintain your overall health, the World Health Organisation recommends practising a moderate-intensity endurance activity at least 2.5 hours per week.

WHY IS THE AMPLITUDE OF MOVEMENT IMPORTANT?

As you know, cross trainers work all of your muscle groups (lower and upper limbs, torso, back, and core). The larger your movements, the more these muscles work and the greater your cardio intensity. The result: you burn more calories and tone your body more!

THE CONSOLE: YOUR VIRTUAL COACH

The console on the E-Shape cross trainer includes:
- 6 functions: calories burnt, distance covered, workout time, speed, heart rate (monitor belt included) and RPM.
- 9 on-board programmes written in collaboration with our coaches, to help guide your workouts.

A CONNECTED CROSS TRAINER

To stay motivated, push your limits, or have more fun, connect your device with the compatible E-connected or Kinomap applications.
With E-connected, you can define a weekly time, distance, or calorie goal: your performance is recorded and you can track your statistics.
With Kinomap, track over real scenery in total synchronisation with your device. At your own pace or in challenge mode, alone or with the Kinomap community, you can have a unique experience.

TRACKING YOUR HEART RATE

Your E Shape cross trainer comes with a heart-rate belt. This is the most reliable way to measure your heart rate.
Moisten the sensors on the belt before positioning it just below the chest. Adjust it so it fits properly. After a few seconds, your heart rate will appear on the screen of your console.

Tips for adjusting your cross trainer

Your cross trainer has various settings to adjust it to fit your build:
- Handlebar height adjustment
- Pedal adjustment. A forward setting (closest to the handlebars), a middle setting, and a rear setting (furthest away from the handlebars). The optimum pre-set position is the middle one. For better performance, the forward position is suited for users measuring under 1.75 m. The rear position is ideal for users measuring over 1.85 m

TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR CROSS TRAINER'S STABILITY

For optimal comfort, we recommend placing specially designed floor pads under your cross trainer (DF 920 floor pads). These foam pads will help to: optimise the stability of the bike when in use, reduce vibrations and noise and protect your floor.
Domyos cross trainers have two stabilisers at the back of the base to ensure perfect stability during your workouts, regardless of the type of flooring.

TIPS FOR MOVING YOUR CROSS TRAINER

Your cross trainer is equipped with roller wheels at the front. To move it, stand facing the front of it. Block the bike with your foot while pushing down on the handlebar to tilt it onto its roller wheels. Gently push it forward in the desired direction.
