Technical Information

Knee reinforcements for superior durability.
Outer reinforcement patches in high-wear areas.
To increase the durability of assemblies, they are ribbed at sensitive points.
Melcro taped: seams reinforced inside at the high-wear areas

Taped seams with a GBS glued and blind stitched assembly.

The seams of the suit and hood are waterproof, with a glued and blind stitched (GBS) assembly: The neoprene is glued first, then stitched for maximum strength (the needle does not completely pass through the neoprene to prevent water infiltration).

Thermal insulation details.

Long John wetsuit with 5 mm neoprene at the chest.
4 mm on the upper part of the legs.
Once the film of water is trapped between your body and the jacket, no more water is able to circulate and no new water gets in.
Each leg has a small skirt inside (inner stop water) to prevent water circulation and the transfer of water warmed by the body and the outside.

The suit has 5mm-thick neoprene at the chest.
4 mm neoprene on upper legs, with 3 mm and 2.5 mm Supratex on the rest of the legs.
This multi-thickness construction provides the necessary comfort and ergonomics for canyoning

Tips for looking after your canyoning suit?

1/ Soak the wetsuit after each session in freshwater outside and inside
2/ Use a bactericidal solution to sanitise it
3/ Rinse well in freshwater
4/ Dry on a wide hanger in a shaded and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight as it discolours the fabric parts of the suit.

What is a wetsuit?

This is the most commonly found type of suit on the market. Its purpose is not to keep out the water, but trap it around the body so that it warms up to create a thermal buffer between yourself and the outside.
Manufactured in neoprene – a rubber polymer filled with air bubbles – the thickness of these wetsuits range from 0.5 to 7 mm.
As such, they are excellent wetsuits because they are flexible and adaptable.

Choose your size carefully

To make the most of your wetsuit's practical features, you must choose the right size. A canyoning wetsuit must be very tight fitting with no visible folds. When dry, it is normal for it to feel tight, this discomfort disappearing as soon as the suit is wet. If you choose a suit that is too large, folds will form creating skin irritations and the thermal insulation will be reduced (water getting in).
Try it on before buying it

Keep warm

When we are in the water, over half our body heat is lost through the body's extremities (feet, hands, head).
This is why we recommend the following accessories:
- in warm water and temperate water (>17°C) => 3 mm low neoprene socks - in cold water (12 - 17°C): 3 mm gloves - in very cold water (7 - 12°C): Neoprene gilet, gloves and hood.

Limitation of water ingress

The ends of the ankles have silicone stoppers that limit water ingress.
They also provide better support when using socks
