Technical Information

Durability

Knee and seat reinforcements for superior durability.Outer reinforcement patches in high-wear areas.
To increase the durability of assemblies, they are ribbed at sensitive points.
Melcro taped: seams reinforced inside at the high-wear areas

Taped seams with a GBS glued and blind stitched assembly.

The seams of the suit and hood are waterproof, with a glued and blind stitched (GBS) assembly: The neoprene is glued first, then stitched for maximum strength (the needle does not completely pass through the neoprene to prevent water infiltration).

Limitation of water ingress

The ends of the wrists have silicone stoppers that limit water ingress. They also allow better support when using gloves.

Multi-thickness

The wetsuit features 5 MM neoprene through the bust to guarantee thermal comfort.
4 mm on the sides and shoulders and 3 mm of Supratex on the sleeves, this multi-thickness has the comfort and ergonomics required for a canyoning suit

Thermal comfort details.

Front-zip wetsuit jacket with 5mm neoprene at the chest.
Hood that can be rolled up in 2.5 mm neoprene.
By trapping a film of water around the body, the suit has a twofold effect:
1 - The trapped water gradually warms up.
2 - Calorie exchanges drop.
The suit and film of water form an insulating layer.
Once a thin film of water is trapped between your body and the jacket, no more water is able to circulate thanks to the Inner Stop Water inside the sleeves.

What is a wetsuit?

This is the most commonly found type of suit on the market. Its purpose is not to keep out the water, but trap it around the body so that it warms up to create a thermal buffer between yourself and the outside.
Manufactured in neoprene – a rubber polymer filled with air bubbles – the thickness of these wetsuits range from 0.5 to 7 mm.
As such, they are excellent wetsuits because they are flexible and adaptable.

Tips for looking after your canyoning suit?

1/ Soak the wetsuit after each session in freshwater outside and inside
2/ Use a bactericidal solution to sanitise it
3/ Rinse well in freshwater
4/ Dry on a wide hanger in a shaded and well ventilated place. Keep away from direct sunlight as it discolours the fabric parts of the suit. The zips can be cleaned with a toothbrush.

Choose your size carefully

To make the most of your wetsuit's practical features, you must choose the right size. A canyoning wetsuit must be very tight fitting with no visible folds. When dry, it is normal for it to feel tight, this discomfort disappearing as soon as the suit is wet. If you choose a suit that is too large, folds will form creating skin irritations and the thermal insulation will be reduced (water getting in).

Keep warm

When we are in the water, over half our body heat is lost through the body's extremities (feet, hands, head).
This is why we recommend the following accessories:
- in warm water and temperate water (>17°C) => 3 mm low neoprene socks - in cold water (12 - 17°C): 3 mm gloves - in very cold water (7 - 12°C): Neoprene gilet, gloves and hood.
