The world champion of vert skating and the DECATHLON Skateboarding team have struck again: After the DK900 board with which Édouard Damestoy won the X Games, their new collaboration is based on textiles. It’s a collection that’s functional and aesthetic, perfectly in line with the athlete’s style.

“After designing the board, I created a connection with the DECATHLON skate team, and we wanted to create a collection together. Because we get along so well, they really listened to me and I was able to concretely express my personal style.”

The logical next step of a first mythical collab

One of the goals of this capsule? To sum up Édouard Damestoy in a collection. In perfect resonance with the DK900 skateboard, the collection was born from the choices made by this half-pipe champion in terms of sketches, illustrations, materials and technical details. Hand-in-hand with our graphic artist Tommy, the double gold medalist of the X Games co-created 6 pieces: a t-shirt, a hoodie, a hat, a sleeveless vest, a pair of trousers and a pair of socks, all embroidered with the same motifs as the board. A trend was born.

Two materials were expressly chosen by Édouard: velour for elegance and microfibre for practicality.
The cuts were designed to be oversized, so as not to interfere with any movement, especially the trousers and t-shirt.
The champ was committed to certain details that would improve his skating, like shock absorption in the shoe to support the ankle.
The embroidered motifs match the board and are positioned in the same order: sun, bird, volcano, flame, plant.

Technical focus

Excellent freedom of movement thanks to roomy cuts (t-shirt, trousers, hoodie) and the absence of sleeves (vest).
Serious resistance to rubbing with a thick cotton (t-shirt, vest) and polyamide reinforcements on the shoulders (vest).
Sweat absorption thanks to the microfibre (hoodie).
Comfort and reduction of shock in case of falls, with special protection for the ankle (socks).
