Things to do in The Lake District
So, what exactly does the Lake District have to offer? Well, the list is endless. There’s hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, zip-lining and treetop adventures, to name a few. But, our personal favourites are:
Via Ferrata:
Climbers, listen up! Tackle the unique Via Ferrata at Honister Slate Mine, climbing iron rungs and traversing exposed pathways with breathtaking views. Don’t forget to pack one of TREK’s Protein Power Bars for a post-climb boost, with 100% plant-based ingredients and 15g of protein in each bar it will help you power through all of the tough Via Ferrata climbs!
Gorge Scrambling:
Enjoy the thrill of traversing natural watercourses, jumping into plunge pools, and climbing over rocks and waterfalls in gorges like Stickle Ghyll and Church Beck.
Wild Swimming:
Connect with nature by taking a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters of lakes and tarns. Don’t forget a nice cup of tea to warm up afterwards!
