TECHNICAL INFORMATION

FULL CUSTOM OPTISENSOR LINER

Very light and comfortable liner. Pre-formed foam over the ankles. Flexible foam insert that enables distortion of the liner during uphill and walking stages. If you feel discomfort after a few days of use, you can thermoform your liner.

Why thermoform a skiing book liner?

Some liners use thermoforming foams. The foam of the liner can be heated to take the shape of your foot and the shell of the shoe. It improves liner-shell compatibility and leave more space for your foot, for better comfort.
I recommend that you ski with your boots at least 2 days before deciding if you need to thermoform them, sometimes the foot simply needs to re-adapt to skiing

How to thermoform your liners?

1- Preheat the oven to 80°C on fan mode.
2- Remove the liners from the boots.
3- Remove the insoles from the liners.
4- Put the liner in the oven for just 8 minutes.
5- Remove the liners from the oven.
6- Put the insoles back inside the liners.
7- Put the liners back into the boots.
8- Put on your boots and lock each hook on the middle notch.
9- Wait for 8 minutes at room temperature before removing the boot.
You are ready to ski!

Buckle adjustment

4 micro-metric aluminium buckles and 2 buckles with 3 positions on the tibia to adapt to all calves. 2 hooks (aluminium colour) on the tibia for the walk position, facilitating the flex* of the boots. 40 mm strap for powerful and easy tightening of the top of the cuff.

Sizing

Fine fit (last 100mm), FULL CUSTOM OPTISENSOR liner: Very light and comfortable liner. Pre-formed foam over the ankles. Flexible foam insert that enables distortion of the liner during uphill and walking stages. If you feel discomfort after a few days of use, you can thermoform your liner.

What is flex?

To provide an indication of rigidity, brands assign a flex rating to every boot. This figure determines the rigidity of the whole boot: the higher its value, the stiffer the shell. We consider that a flex of 70 is designed for intermediate to experienced skiers. A flex of 70 to 90 is for experienced skiers. Beyond this value, the products are aimed at advanced skiers. Well-built skiers can go up one level.

How do you try on ski boots?

Once your foot is in the boot, fasten the buckles to the midpoint. Can you go further? This means the volume of the boot isn't right for you. Once you've fastened your boots, you need to flex 3 times while pushing your calves forward (put your hands on your knees), which will push your heel back into the boot. Stand up: your foot should touch the end of the shell. When you flex, your foot should move backwards so you can no longer feel the end.

How to get your ski boots on/off easily?

Pull the tong forwards and outwards from the foot: it also enables you to open the cuff wide and helps you put it on.

How to optimise the comfort of a skiing boot?

There are many possibilities to optimise foot comfort in a ski boot. A ski boot should be worn close to the foot. To improve support, insoles adapted to your instep can be used, as can volume reducers and heel pads.

How to avoid cold feet?

The drying of the liner is often forgotten and is the most important step to avoid having cold feet. Even by -10°C, the foot sweats and the liner cannot dry by itself in a plastic shell, even over several days. Ideally, it should be removed every day. You can use shoe dryers, which are more practical as you will not need to remove the liner, just plug them in!
