Technical Information

A word from the product manager

The Endzone 500 is our most playful board in the range. We wanted it to be easy-going while also being a freestyle board: playful, handy, fun ...
We love this board, but the bottom line is that you like it! We'd love to hear what you think, so feel free to leave a review.

The Endzone 500 has less edge grip on pistes than the Park & Ride, but it is really more lively in snow parks for rail lines as well as jump lines. On piste, it is very manoeuvrable in tight turns for lively snowboarding beside the pistes. With its flat camber, rocker and soft torsional stiffness between the feet, it is suitable for very good freestylers as well as for genuine beginners interested in freestyle.

Twin Tip snowboard

It is a Twin Tip shaped snowboard. The side lines of the board are completely symmetrical between the front and the back, offering a perfect symmetry and centering of the characteristics of the board to ride in both directions in the same way. The Twin Tip shape also offers total balance when turning (on the ground, in the air).

Flat camber + rocker

A flat camber is the best compromise between the classic camber that brings grip and dynamism and an inverted camber that provides manoeuvrability in rotation but has little grip. It is perfect for park and beginner freestylers because:
- the flat camber improves stability, on modules and on-piste,
- the rocker improves tolerance in parks and on-piste, because the 4 "corners" of the board don't touch the snow when the board is flat.

Supple, forgiving flex

The flex, stiffness of the board between the front and the back.
The flex of the Endzone 400 Jib is about 2/5, which is flexible and forgiving. This type of flex is very homogeneous from the front tip, offering very predictable cornering with no surprises. This flex designed for freestyle use allows to play flat (ollies, nollies, butter, nose roll ...). But it is also suitable for beginner snowboarders.

Supple, forgiving twist

The torsion, stiffness of the board in torsion between the feet, is about 2/5 on the Endzone 400 JIb, which gives to the board an easy side to take in hand, easy to rotate and tolerant to edge errors. A soft twist gives freedom to the feet between them. This is important for a beginner level: because edging mistakes are forgiven. The supple torsion is also suited to freestyle/jib/flat use.

0 mm setback

The setback is when the points of support of the board on the snow are not symmetrical with respect to the center of board but shifted towards the back. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance.
0 mm setback = no setback, these are fully centred Twin Tip boards, not only for riding in both directions, but also for better balance during rotations in the air and on slopes.

When to wax your snowboard?

Wed'ze boards leave the factory waxed.
They then require regular maintenance like all snowboards and skis: ideally, waxing every 5 outlets and at least once a year:
- either at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide
- or at the end of the season allowing the wax to protect the sole all summer long

Which size should I choose for my Endzone 500?

In Freestyle, you can take a short board: - 20 to -25 cm (for example, someone measuring 1 m 74 can use a board between 154 and 149 cm).
Taking a smaller board makes rotations and figures easier. Taking a bigger board allows you to be more stable at high speed and on landing.
142 cm => 1.57m to 1.67m
146 cm => 1.60m to 1.71m
151 cm => 1.69m to 1.76m

Sliding quality: sintered sole

The soles are made of polyethylene using 2 different technical processes:
- extruded base, with a certain density of polyethylene
- a sintered base, with a higher density of polyethylene (fewer holes, more PE) A sintered base is the Rolls-Royce of bases. The glide performance is really fantastic.
