TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Which size should I select? When taking up hiking, do not hesitate to take a size above your usual shoe size to guarantee an optimal comfort when walking downhill and to prevent your toes rubbing the tops of the shoe. Tip: Before any descent, make sure your nails are cut and check that your laces are tightened to prevent your foot from sliding forward in the shoe.
Crosscontact sole The design of the soles has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber formulation to offer the best compromise between grip and traction. The design of the Arpenaz 500 sole gives adhesion rather than traction. Traction: Consists of not sliding into loose ground (flat or hilly). Adhesion: consists of not slipping when on hard ground (wet or dry).
Buying tips Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks worn for hiking. Try on several models or sizes, if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Don't hesitate to walk around the store. Start using them gradually during short hikes for your child to wear them in gently.
