As in all racquet sports, having the right set of strings on your squash racquet could make a tremendous difference to your game. Breaking or creeping strings will hamper your game, and it’s always worth looking at the quality of the squash strings on your racquet, even if you’ve bought a relatively expensive one.
Pick up the right squash strings for your game. Strings come in two gauges: 17 and 18. 17 gauge is stronger and more resilient, but 18 gauge will deliver more power. You should also take note of the tension at which your racquet is strung: the higher the tension, the more control you get but the lower the tension, the higher the power.
