Brakes This B'twin design, fitted with brake shoes, allows you to change the brake pads. The double pivot offers powerful braking and is made from cast aluminium covered with a powder paint that is highly resistant to frequent washing.

The Hyperdrive SG-X compact 50-tooth and 34-tooth chainrings are designed for faster chainring changes.
The cassette has a 12 to 27 mm range, which allows less powerful cyclists to tackle difficult routes easily.
Handlebar / stem / steering The compact B'twin handlebar is sized to the bike frame. Made of aluminium 6061 T6, its has a compact shape popular in pelotons which allows you to place your hands at the bottom of the handlebar without discomfort. The handlebar weighs 320 g in size 420 mm. The B'twin stem, made from aluminium 6061 T6, is also sized to the frame, and weighs 180 g in size 110 mm. The steering uses long-life sealed bearings.

Specification, looks, geometry
I bought my Triban 7 late April 2013 and have used it all throughout the summer and autumn. It went away for the winter as I didn't want to use it for the muddy roads (my first 'cheap' road bike came out again for that).I absolutely love the bike and can't wait to get back on it now the weather is getting better. Gear changes are smooth - some adjustment is needed after a few rides due to cable stretch but that is normal. Brakes have good stopping power. Got admiring looks and comments.
Great value, approved by professionals

Tiagra, smooth ride
Tyres, stem size
I've done about 250km on my 7 and am very pleased with it.
I changed the tyres to Conti GP4s (£60) after a puncture on my third ride.
I had a professional bike fit yesterday & the fitter was impressed with the bike, impressive as he's also a bike designer/builder.
One area of annoyance for me was the undocumented stem size. As there were no 7s in the shop I test rode a T5 size 60 which had a 110mm stem. The 130mm stem on my T7 was a stretch too far.

The bike is great but in the month i have had it in the last 2 days i have had 3 puntures off same wheel so not sure its the rubber or defected wheel. Other than.that it is lovely to ride and very comfortable. The lights and pedals included for the price was nice little bonus.
Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that you have a problem with your tyre. 3 punctures over two days is a worry.
Are you able to tell me if it is due to the tyre pinching the inner-tube? Is the rim-tape compromised? Was it due to debris on the road?
Pop down to your local store with your wheel and we'll have a quick look at it for you. We sell more durable tyres as well as puncture proof innertubes if you feel an upgrade may be required.

Quality, Customer Service & Price
not found one yet!!!
I bought one of these today after having a Triban 3 for a year. The Triban 7 is an excellent bike i rode 20 miles after buying it today and the difference between this and and the T3 is significant. The additional and power and speed you can get is very noticeable, probably due to the 1kg difference in weight and the group set. The guys at the Stockport store were very helpful. I love the Decathlon ethos and it's that which tempted me from looking for an upgrade elsewhere!
