cant fault the bike
Excellent road bike cant find any negtives alread took 5 mins for my time getting to work which is 6 miles had a mountain bike cant belive how better this bike is

handle bar tape, free lights were rubbish
I commute 28 miles/day on rough country roads and in town, I have found the triban 5 very able in rain wind and snow(!). I have heard complaints about the wheel hubs but mine are fine. I like the gears, good for hills and newbies. I replaced the pedals (spd-sl) for touring pedals which are better in town/traffic. I got free mud guards and lights, the front light was rubbish. if i were to niggle the colours don't match, all white would have been nice.

Sales advice in Wendsbury store
As a regular mountain bike rider this is my first road bike. After 7 months use it is still in great condition. It rides like new.
As I am 176cm tall, I asked for a 57cm frame size and was advised by the salesman to buy the 54cm model. Unfortunately I took his advice.
After encountering pains whilst riding the bike for the last 7 months I consulted my local bike shop and paid for a bike fit, to see if my riding position could be improved. Only to be told that the bike is to small for me.
Excellent race and commuter workhorse!

Fast bike, carbon forks and carbon seat stays
None really
This is an absolutely brilliant road bike for the price point. It accelerates brilliantly. The carbon forks and seat stays makes the bike relatively light and very comfortable on rough sections of our roads. Gear change is smooth and bike is responsive. Steering is precise and really all I have is praise for this bike and Billy at decathlon Bolton, greater Manchester who helped me to select the right size and set me up superbly on the bike.
