Good but not always assembled/set up well

great quality for the money, very stable ride
mine was badly set up
This is a fantastic bike for the money but needed quite a bit of tinkering when I got it home to set it up properly. It has a full carbon fork, not carbon wrap. Its stability is confidence inspiring. As other reviewers have said you'll want to swap out the awful saddle, and pedals too. I found it too long for my liking so swapped the 100mm stem for an 80mm which is much better for me and hasn't changed the handling for the worse. This is on a 54 size bike, I think - the next size down drops to 6
Great value but...

Value, price, weight
Shifters, set-up
You really won't get more for your £300. I am overall very happy with this bike, however I now wish I'd spent a bit more to get the better shifters of the Triban 5 as you can only shift to a higher (faster) gear with your hands on the brake lever hoods which is a pain when you're down in a crouch and rattling down a hill.
Had to readjust the gears myself once the cable stretched as you only get a 6 month (not 6 week) service or "safety check".
Superb bike

Carbon forks, light frame, fast, amazing value
Instore assembly should have been better
This is an exceptional bike for the money. Having run its specs past a number of hardened time trialers, none can believe what it offers for the price of a high-end saddle. Staff were v helpful in sizing, kit and test riding, but on first outing noticed sizeable rattle from front derailleur. I'm happy to fix this, but would have expected staff to correct it before purchase.
Having said that, the bike feels great, and impossible to differentiate from much more expensive models.

Excellent Value for Money

Everything
Nothing
Hard to put anything new here that hasn't been said before but this bike is fantastic. Ok, it's my first road bike so I can't compare it to a £1000 carbon bike but the only limiting factor on this bike is me.
I changed the seat as I didn't like the rise at the front of the orginal and I have changed the pedals for SPDs but apart from that it is spot on.
Service from Decathlon staff at Surrey Quays and Reading was brilliant.
Can't beat it on price and reliability

Cheap, lightish, runs smoothly
nonw
Bought my Triban 18months ago after selling my Bianchi. This bike has been more reliable and personally I think it is a smoother ride, both had Italian alu frames and carbon front forks. I was a bit dubious when I first bought it and was just waiting for it to fall to pieces, I was wrong. Very good bike for the money. Only thing you don't get is a full measurement and set up service but you can do most of this yourself with a few pointers from the internet.
