Best Tent Ever
The new easy put down system, is a win win
Anne (United Kingdom)
40-49 years old Woman
used for More than 2 years I have had 3 of these tents. The first was smaller design, so we up graded to a larger 3 person. But I sadly was too rough with the zip and it was out of date to even sadly have repaired, but it was over 5 years old!! So bought this new one, which is easier to erect and put away! :)
VG for "car and pub" camping, or family groups.
Does what it says, very well (with practice)
Only good as a bedroom, not an all-prupose tent.
Harry (United Kingdom)
Excellent to give youngsters their own space, or to chuck up before you go down the pub. The sloping door straight inside means it would be useless if you had to sit out a rainy evening in it. (if this is you get the XL version)
Good quality for the money, much better than the smaller and single skin variants.
People with small or full cars should check packed size, it's bigger than you expect. Impossible for hiking!
As a hardened camper I'm very pleased wih it, for fair (!) weather trips.
Size and weight The bedroom is 2.10m long and 1.85m wide. 3.5kg
Bedroom Well proportioned bedroom for 3 adults, very comfortable for 2.
Storage space Shoes can be stored inside, between the inner tent and the flysheet.
Access Effective and easy-to-use front entrance: big D door with one zip. No need to climb over your companion to get out.
Pitching/Folding Instant-pitch tent. Easy to fold away: less than 15 seconds, thanks to easy system. (Instructions and video on www.quechua.com). More compact once folded: it is also possible to fold the tent using the usual 2 Second method. Self-supporting tent (place wherever you want once pitched, and providing there is no wind, there is no need to use pegs = use immediately!). 9 pegs and 5 stays provided. Folds away in 15 seconds (instructions and video on www.quechua.com).
Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (WHOLE TENT subject to 200 litres/hour/m² for 4 hours!) and in camping conditions. (PU coated polyester flysheet, polyethylene 120 g/m² groundsheet, all seams are waterproofed by thermoformed strips). breathable polyester room under the flysheet to prevent contact with droplets of condensation that can form on the interior of the flysheet.
Ventilation 1 upper air vent at the back, 2 lower side vents, 1 ceiling air vent in the bell end area, breathable inner tent fabric. You can leave the inner tent door half-open at the top using the 2-way zip. Ventilation also serves to reduce natural condensation.
Poles Solid fibreglass: excellent break resistance.
Pegs 5mm galvanised steel for excellent twist-resistance.
Tent bag 70 cm diametre flat disk.
UV (Protection against Ultraviolet rays) Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVBs and 80-95% of UVAs. Warning: High levels of UVs can pass through an open tent flap.
Guarantee All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years under normal conditions of use (your invoice or receipt provides proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked out in your nearest Decathlon or Koodza store.
PU coated flysheet, breathable polyester room, polyethylene ground sheet, solid fibreglass poles.
The watertightness of QUECHUA tents is tested, tent pitched, under 200 litres of water per hour, per m². The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures the waterproofing properties of the fabric. We design our tests using a laboratory shower to ensure that no water can pass through the seams, flaps, opeings, zips, etc.
Restricted use :
For 3 people, maximum sleeping width = 60 cm per person.
1 CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.
