Technical information
Living area Roomy (6.75sq m / 2m high), comfortably accommodating 6 -- Permanent canopy = no need to set up and remove the canopy throughout the day (rain, outings...), front can be fully or partially opened, even in rain.
Bedroom 3 comfortable bedrooms 1.4m wide (but no great height) -- Breathable polyester with low ventilation flaps -- 8 inside pockets + 4 outside pockets in each bedroom.
Waterproofing As with all Quechua tents, a lot of work is put in to ensuring they are watertight, through laboratory testing (an ENTIRE TENT is put through 200 litres/hr/sq m!) and field testing -- PU-coated polyester flysheet -- fully thermo-bonded taped seams --140 g/sq m polyethylene groundsheet.
Ventilation and condensation prevention Large top ventilation flap -- Ventilation in each bedroom -- Space between ground and flysheet -- Top of the front can be opened even in the rain.
Poles Good stability and durability: Living space poles are 11mm fibreglass (9.5mm in the bedroom) -- All our fibreglass poles are double-inspected to ensure the best resistance to breakage.
Tent pegs Excellent twisting resistance (6mm steel).
Pitching Classic, starting with the dome living space -- Tent pitching video available on www.quechua.com.
Warranty and After sales service 2-year warranty for normal usage conditions-- all Decathlon stores offer after-sales service for your tent with replacement of faulty items under warranty or damaged (payable) for flysheelts, bedrooms, poles or covers. If replacement of an article is not possible, a repair solution will be offered.
Care instructions:
1 CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.
Composition
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester inner tent, polyethylene ground sheet, 9.5mm and 11mm diameter fibreglass poles.
Test Product
The waterproofing of QUECHUA tents is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/sq m. Although the water column test (=mm Schmerber) is quite well known and measures the level of waterproofing for fabrics, it is not a good indicator of how waterproof a tent is. Indeed, the fabrics are waterproof (above 1,000mm!) as they must be, but it is the tent itself that must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc. This is done using the shower test.
Restricted use :
Not compatible with Sleep'inBed Camp Confort 140.
