Technical information
Living area Very spacious, can be increased from 10 sq m to 13 sq m under the permanent canopy when the front is fully opened (even when it rains) -- Lots of light -- 3 windows that can be closed -- Easy entry/exit using the front that can be part-opened -- Permanent canopy = no need to pitch and fold away several times a day (rain, lack of rain...) -- Rising groundsheet to avoid water trickling in from outside. This groundsheet can be removed.
Bedroom 2 comfortably-sized rooms for 3 (2 m x 2.10 m), with plenty of headroom (1.85 m) -- Breathable polyester -- 8 interior pockets + 4 external pockets for each room.
Waterproofing As with all Quechua tents, a lot of work is put in to ensuring they are watertight, through laboratory testing (an ENTIRE TENT is put through 200 litres/hr/sq m!) and field testing -- PU-coated polyester flysheet -- Seams are sealed with thermo-bonded tape -- 140 g/sq m polypropylene groundsheet.
Ventilation and reduced condensation Lined flysheet for the living area (remarkable!) -- Space between the ground and the bottom edge of the flysheet -- Can open the top of the front even when it is raining -- 2 mosquito net windows that can be closed from the inside if it is raining -- 2 insect-net windows that can be closed from inside when it rains.
Poles Structure that is very stable and sturdy: 12.7 mm diameter glass fibre poles and steel spars. -- All the fibre poles are quality tested twice to ensure the best possible resistance to breaking.
Pegs Excellent resistance to twisting (6mm diameter steel).
Pitching Intuitive and standard: tunnel structure with parallel poles -- Pitching video available on www.quechua.com.
Warranty and After-sales service Guaranteed for 2 years under normal conditions of use -- Every Decathlon store will carry out the after-sales servicing of your tent by replacing faulty parts under guarantee or those you have damaged (for payment) on the flysheet, inner tent, pole rings or carry bag. When a replacement cannot be done, a repair will be suggested.
Care instructions:
1 CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.
Composition
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester inner tent, polyethylene groundsheet, solid 12.7mm glassfibre poles.
Test Product
The waterproofing of QUECHUA tents is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/sq m. Although the water column test (=mm Schmerber) is quite well known and measures the level of waterproofing for fabrics, it is not a good indicator of how waterproof a tent is. Indeed, the fabrics are waterproof (above 1,000mm!) as they must be, but it is the tent itself that must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc. This is done using the shower test.
Restricted use :
For 6 people, max bedding width is 65cm.
