Technical information
Living area Comfortable, extends from 6 m² à 9 m² under the permanent canopy when the front panel is fully opened (even when raining) -- Light -- 3 big windows (can be screened off) -- Easy access through the front that opens partially -- Permanent canopy = no need to set up the canopy several times a day (rain, outings...)
Bedroom 2 bedrooms with space for 3 (1.8 x 2.1m), notice the generous headroom on the diagram -- Breathable polyester and low air vents -- 8 inside pockets + 4 outside pockets in each bedroom.
Waterproofing As with all Quechua tents, a lot of work is put in to ensuring they are watertight, through laboratory testing (an ENTIRE TENT is put through 200 litres/hr/sq m!) and field testing -- PU-coated polyester flysheet -- Seams are sealed with thermo-bonded tape -- 140 g/sq m polypropylene groundsheet.
Ventilation and condensation prevention Lined living area flysheet (remarkable!) -- Gap between ground and bottom edge of the flysheet -- Front can be left open even if it is raining.
Poles Excellent stability and durability: 12.7mm fibreglass -- All our fibreglass poles are double-inspected to ensure the best resistance to breakage.
Tent pegs Excellent twist resistance (6mm diameter steel).
Pitching Logical and straightforward: tunnel tents with parallel poles -- Assembly film available at www.quechua.com
Warranty and After sales service 2--year warranty for normal usage conditions -- all Decathlon stores offer after-sales service for your tent with replacement of faulty items under warranty or damaged (payable) for flysheelts, bedrooms, poles or covers. If replacement of an article is not possible, a repair solution will be offered.
Care instructions:
1 CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.
Composition
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester inner tent, polyethylene groundsheet. 12.7mm diameter fibre poles.
Test Product
The waterproofing of QUECHUA tents is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/sq m. Although the water column test (=mm Schmerber) is quite well known and measures the level of waterproofing for fabrics, it is not a good indicator of how waterproof a tent is. Indeed, the fabrics are waterproof (above 1,000mm!) as they must be, but it is the tent itself that must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc. This is done using the shower test.
Restricted use :
For 6 people, max. bedding width is 60cm.
