Inner space Remarkable inner space for this weight, however hikers of a large build may find things a bit tight. Bedroom: 220cm long, 65cm wide per person at the head, 42cm at the feet. -- 60cm bell end -- See diagrams.
Access Big central door.
Pitching Pre-pitched inner tent, so you can pitch the tent with the bedroom out of the rain. Easy and quick to pitch after you've done it once (see film on www.quechua.com).
Ventilation and condensation prevention 2 upper air vents -- Gap between the ground and the bottom of the flysheet.
Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (an ENTIRE TENT is put through 200 litres/hr/sq m for 4 hours!) and field tested. (PU-coated polyester flysheet, 5000 mm PU coatd groundsheet, fully thermo-bonded taped seams). There is a breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet that prevents naturally-occurring droplets of condensation from touching the inside of the flysheet.
Poles Aluminium poles for maximum light weight and break and freeze resistance. (7001 aluminium, 8.5mm in diameter.)
Tent pegs Ultra-light and impossible to twist or bend (aluminium, 9g each)
Warranty and After sales service 2-year warranty for normal use -- all Decathlon stores offer after-sales service for your tent with replacement of faulty items under warranty or damaged (payable) for flysheets, bedrooms, poles or covers. If replacement of an article is not possible, a repair solution will be offered.
Care instructions:
CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. RESIN STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the resin brittle so it will come off more easily. STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is completely dry to prevent odours and mould formation.
Composition
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester inner tent, PU-coated polyamide groundsheet.
Test Product
The waterproofing of QUECHUA tents is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water/hr/sq m. The water column test (=mm Schmerber) only measures the level of waterproofing for fabrics. We designed our tents thanks to the use of lab showers to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips etc.
