Living / storage space Within this 3.9 sqm space, a 4- or 6-person table can easily be accommodated. Big storage pouch included. The door is protected by a wide flap. The large back window, protected by a cap, can be left open even when it's raining. The "bowl" groundsheet protects from seepage.

Access One large door, which folds easily into a pocket for more ease and to keep the living space open in fine weather. The edge of the groundsheet can be folded down at the door for easier entry.

Pitching/folding Has a clever pitching system, with the groundsheet being put in place and attached to the tent before unfolding. The tent can easily be correctly positioned and pitched. It can be unfolded and set up in less than 2 minutes! Folds down in less than 5 minutes with the knack (details and film available on www.quechua.com).

Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (the ENTIRE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm and for 4 hours!) and field tested before approval. (PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet.

UV protection (protection against Ultraviolet rays) Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVB and 80 to 95% of UVA rays. If you're looking for protection during the day, remember that a lot of UV rays reflect off the ground and in through open doors.

PU coated polyester fly sheet, breathable polyester bedroom. Solid fibreglass poles. Polyethylene groundsheet.
Test Product
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved by a full tent shower of 200l of water per square metre per hour. The water column test (=mm schmerber) is quite well known but isn't a good indicator for measuring tent waterproofing, only for fabric. Of course, the fabric needs to be waterproof (and is from 1,000mm), but the tent must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips and so on. This is tested in a lab tent shower.

Care instructions:
1 CLEANING: if need be, clean the tent with soapy water then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS (very hard to remove): once the stain is dry, gently scratch it off whilst holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould forming.
