Lacing system: We have accounted for the problem of premature wearing of the laces on the RT5 and done what we needed to modify and repair the shoe thanks to the knowledge of our teams. The new lacing system has been tested and shown to be effective. Laces are fastened using a plastic drawcord toggle. However, a second pair of laces is included for runners who prefer a classic lacing system.

What size should I buy? For trail running, you may wish to purchase a shoe that is one size larger than your normal size to ensure your feet remain comfortable when running downhill and to keep your toes from bumping against the tip of the shoe.
Tip: keep your toenails short. Before the descent, make sure your laces are tight in order to keep your feet from sliding forward in the shoe.
To check your size, click on "What size should I wear?" (near the "purchase" or "add to cart" buttons) and follow the instructions. -

360° System: Our exclusive system uses a strap that goes under your instep. Tightening your laces also tightens the strap, bringing you better instep support without affecting comfort. Since the angle of the strap is aligned with the laces, you feel no hard pressure points. This provides unrivalled support and greater precision and safety when running.

Cushioning construction: Two types of materials have been used to provide an optimised cushioning / weight ratio. The heel (the part of your foot that needs the most cushioning) is made of compressed EVA. This provides long-lasting cushioning over time whilst minimising the thickness of the shoe. The front of the shoe is made of injected EVA; this light and bouncy material allows you to push off effectively.

Grip construction: The pad where the sole of the shoe comes into contact with the ground is a single piece of rubber which stretches from your heel to your toe. This construction was chosen as it improves foot motion and provides more grip surface. Sticky Rubber offers unparalleled grip. Our red rubber is highly resistant to abrasion, helping to avoid premature wear and tear on the heel and making the shoe more durable without affecting grip.

Support: In addition to the 360° System, the X Stab Concept (a rigid plastic TPU insert) helps stabilise the heel. This insert is embedded into the compressed EVA and helps stabilise the heel and keep it in position at the back of the shoe. The insert extends out at the sides so that it is covered by the 360° System strap, gently merging with the rest of the shoe at the forefoot. It is used to brace the foot and, along with the injected EVA in the front sole, provides excellent push off.
