used for 3 to 6 months I did a lot of research for a economical bike - this was by far the best. Great bike guys in store and excellent aftersales offering a free service after a few weeks.

Response of the brand

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write this review - customers find them really useful when making purchasing decisions. We are also very pleased to hear that you like your Rockrider 500 and have had good after-sales experience when it needed a fix! We only wish it to accompany you on many rides in the future! Happy cycling :)

used for 2 to 8 weeks Pleased with bike but wires obviously stretched on first outing. Would have been nice to have had a free service included after a short period to correct initial teething probs. Most other shops offer this.
Also would have been good to have been given a paper on how to maintain bike - even if it meant a download from website. I'm not sure how to deal with probs with hydraulic brakes!!
Overall I'm pretty pleased with my deal but think that for very little extra effort you could have gone that extra yard to please (by dealing with above points) which would have meant me giving you a 5 star rating.

Lots of problems with the gears!
Saddle came lose on the first day of use.
Third time I was out on it the pedal came off(luckily I was going slowly, otherwise it would have been DANGEROUS)
£40 in a taxi to take the bike back. Bike got scratched in the boot
Mechanic in the shop didn't appear to care. Told me that the bike was for amateurs and to stay away from dirt tracks.
All in all a poor service. I work hard for my money and invest it wisely, Really disappointed.

Response of the brand

Dear sir,

I'm so sorry to read that you have not had a good experience with the b'Twin Rockrider 500 mountain bike.

It is unacceptable that the saddle and the pedals were loose. Could I kindly ask you to email the name of your local store? This would be appreciated.

The Rockrider 500 is a perfectly suitable bike for mountain biking on trails. Agreed, it is not designed for hardcore or regular off road use but you can comfortably use it under normal off road conditions as it forms part of our "sport MTB" range.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. It is very much appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Peter Lazarus

Seems good so far, ive spent a couple of hours on woodland tracks and 16 miles by road and both were comfortable.
The gears need adjusting and the brakes could be tighter but that just requires a trip back to decathlon.

My colleague is getting one after my recommedation

Excellent Bike

Great and good for all kind of biking

Should come with 28" wheels pls.
