QUECHUA Quickhiker Ultralight 2

quick to put up, porch space

I bent the lightweight pole on first use

used for 2 to 8 weeks This tent balances the equation of room-v- weight/size pleasingly.
A roomy tent for a solo camp that is easy to put up. It kept me dry in steady summer rain. Porch space was useful for hiking boots. There was enough space to keep my pack in my tent and still have a comfy sleep. I havne't yet hiked and wildcamped with it but this would be suitable for the job.

Quality tent

Easy to pitch, ultralight, hooks in the corners

Cannot cover the nets on the inner doors

used for 2 to 8 weeks This tent is brilliant. Never had a tent before and chose this because of its weight! Really easy to pitch, took only 7-8 minutes for the first time. Enough room for 2 people - maybe not the most spacious tent but ultralight and compact.

Tiny, packed up

Small package

Not easy to pack

used for 3 to 6 months I cycle so something small was my main objective, its actually quite roomy opened out and I suspect good in a storm and I am comparing it to a very expensive expedition tent

Perfect for motorbikers travelling solo!

Light, compact and super easy to assemble.

expensive.

used for More than 1 year This truly is a motorbiker's best friend. Light and compact due to short size of poles means that it fits any pannier on the market. I thouroughly recommend this tent!!

Super easy to set up and dismantle.

Great tent

Good size for one, light, easy to put up

Could have a slightly bigger tent bag

used for 2 to 8 weeks Great tent. Hooks in the inside are very useful. Triangle fastening things on the strings to tie down the tent are easy to use. Great size for one person. Seems durable, but we shall see what its like after a year or so. Got some rock pegs separately for problematic hard ground. You can always cook in the alcove at the side of the tent if you really need to instead of doing it completely outside. Just wish the tent bag was slightly bigger to make it a little easier to fit the tent in after rolling it up, but its not that bad, just being picky. ( fyi, you CAN get spare parts for it!) Great value for money. Love quechua.

Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm and for 4 hours!) and field tested before approval. Polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet inside, polyethylene 120g/m² ground sheet. All seams are sealed with thermobonded tape. The breathable, water repellent polyester bedroom and mosquito net prevent contact with droplets of condensation.
Ventilation and condensation prevention Bedroom contains mosquito netting for ventilation and water repellent fabric to prevent condensation and draughts. There is a large vent in the front of the flysheet, and another vent at the feet.
Inner space Length of the room: 210 cm wide room: max. 130 cm; 110 cm at the head and 80 cm at the feet. Boosters in the 4 corners increase the tent's usable volume. 40 cm wide porch offers storage space away from the bedroom entrance.
Dimensions and weight; folded dimensions Cover with compression straps: 40cm x 12cm x 12cm.
A second basic bag is provided to save space if needed
Very light and robust "DAC Featherlite NSL" aluminium poles. Very lightweight and durable partially-recycled polyester ripstop fabric.Weight: 1.96 kg.
Sun protection The fabric flysheet filters UV rays with a SPF of 30. Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.
Pitching/folding Approx. 1 minute to pitch or take down. Pre-assembled fly sheet and bedroom. Poles are attached to the tent in sleeves, helping you save precious time when pitching the tent. Taking the tent down is just as quick. To store the tent in the case, simply attach the poles together in elastics (once folded) and compactly roll up the whole tent.
Eco-design Made of 20% recycled materials, thereby reducing the environmental impact of the product.
Poles, pegs Poles: 9mm "DAC Featherlite NSL" aluminium poles for their low weight and maximum resistance to breakage and frost.Tent pegs: Highly durable, lightweight aluminium corner pegs.

Test Product QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.Tested in real conditions.
Restricted use : Sleeping space width max. 60 cm per person.
Stock advice Storage: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
Care instructions: 1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
Guarantee : All of our tents can be repaired in your local Decathlon workshop.
