Waterproofing: Waterproofing: The exclusive Novadry component is guaranteed to keep you dry even in a heavy downpour. In the rain simulator, the jacket stayed for 4 hrs under the equivalent of a 100 L/hr/sqm storm without the tiniest drop getting through the product. The component's waterproofing is guaranteed to withstand more than 5,000 mm of water pressure. All seams are 100% watertight.

Hood: The hood is easily stored in the pocket on the collar. It can be tightened with an adjustable elastic cord equipped with two self-blocking eyelets to better protect you from the elements.

Protection of documents and accessories: Two closable inner pockets, one with a zip, can be used to keep your documents and accessories safe.

Hand warmer pockets: Two big hand warmer, zip pockets let you protect your hands from the wind and rain, and keep your accessories safe too.

Wrist adjustment: The cuffs have rip tabs so that you can adjust the tightening at the wrist.

Jacket fastening: The plastic injected central zip (like the one on the pockets) is resistant to rust from salt thanks to the specific shape of the teeth. It has an exterior flap and a placket that guarantees optimal waterproofing.

What is a waterproofing test or "shower test"? Approved test where the garment is placed under a shower simulating different weather conditions. All our products are certified 100% waterproof having been tested for 4+ hours in rain of 100 L/h/sqm to 450 L/h/sqm depending on the product use. To put this into perspective, the highest recorded rainfall was in the USA in 1942, when 174 L/h/sqm fell over 4.5 hours (NOAA). The average rainfall in Paris is 2 L/h/sqm (www.Paris.fr)

Stock advice
Store in a dry place, but do not leave NOVADRY® garments on a heat source such as a radiator, as this may damage the breathable membrane or coating.
Care instructions:
Machine wash your Kostalde Men's waterproof jacket at 30°C. Turn inside-out and fasten rip-tabs. Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. Line dry if possible. Occasionally tumble drying on low for a short period of time will improve the water repellent treatment. To reactivate the water repellency, you can also warm iron the fabric or apply the Tribord re-waterproofing spray.
