Component breathability To find out whether a component is breathable, we test its evaporate resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9
20 = little or no breathability. -

Breathability In addition to breathable fabrics, Quechua develops technical solutions (zips, ventilation, mesh...) to improve the overall ventilation of its trekking jackets and overtrousers (Forclaz, Bionnassay, and Helium lines).

Water repellency Water repellency is a fabric's ability to let water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. Water repellency is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (we recommend after each wash). Suitable treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof overtrousers have received a water-repellent treatment.
Composition
Outer component: 100% polyester. Lining: 100% polyester.
Test Product
Quechua is based at the foot of Mont-Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our design teams create and develop products that are beautiful, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field in collaboration with our technical partners and mountain professionals. We remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
Care instructions:
Wash at 30°C. Use liquid detergent; do not add fabric softener. Close zips and rip-tabs before placing in the machine. Refresh the water repellency with a suitable treatment at each wash. A full range of products specially designed to help you care for waterproof and breathable fabrics is available in all Decathlon stores. These products will help you optimise your garment's performance and longevity.
