Bedroom space This Seconds Base was designed as the living room for 2 Seconds tents, for fresh, rainy, or mosquito-filled evenings. It therefore does not have a bedroom, but is compatible with 2 Seconds bedrooms which need to be attached under the large overhangs made for this purpose. A bedroom is sold separately to fix inside the Seconds Base, converting it to a 2 to 4-man tent for sleeping.

Living/storage space 5m² easily accommodates 4 or even 6 for dining. Groundsheet included. All Seconds Base tents can be twinned together, either with a Full Seconds Base or an XL Seconds Base, extending the shelter area from 5 to 10 m² or 15m² or more. See demonstration film.

Access 2 of the 4 doors are for access, or for an "open" side, or for twinning with another Seconds Base. The other 2 entrances are for access to 2 Seconds tents. These access doors are protected from the rain by an overhang that can cover the front of the 2 Seconds tent (whether it's an Air, XL or 1-, 2- or 3-man model).

Pitching/ folding Pops up in 10 seconds, fully pitched in 5 minutes, if you install one or two 2 Seconds tents. Free-standing (place it wherever you like, and if there is no wind, there is no need for pegs... but it is ideal with 12 pegs in place). Can be folded in less than 2 minutes (once you have the "knack" as shown in the instructions and on www.quechua.com)

Waterproofing Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (WHOLE TENT in a shower of 200 litres/h/m²!) and in field tests. (PU coated polyester flysheet, thermobonded sealed seams.) The waterproof qualities of twinned 2 Seconds Bases have been approved under the same conditions.

Ventilation 1 ventilation flap under each of the 4 overhangs, 4 mosquito-netted windows (can be closed) + 1 ceiling ventilation flap. Everything is designed to maximise ventilation, and reduce natural condensation.

Poles Solid fibreglass; highly break resistant.

Pegs Made of 5mm diameter galvanised steel for excellent twist-resistance.

Cover Disc that is 85cm in diameter and 10 cm thick. Fitted with a practical no-zip flap and 2 straps for occasional carrying.

UV Protection Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVB and 80 to 95% of UVA rays... for those looking for daytime protection, remember that a lot of UV rays can enter through one open door.

Warranty All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years under normal usage conditions (your invoice or receipt gives proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked out in your local Decathlon store.
