used for 2 to 8 weeks Bought this tent to try camping by car, with standing room, as a change from our normal backpacking tents - myself and two boys are keen wild campers, and our one man lightweight tents cost over 3 times what this tent did!! Have used once so far, on a trip of 3 nights, with two adults. The tent pitches easily, about 15 minutes with two people, and looked great when up - nice and taught, no flapping parts, very stable. The inner took two airbeds, with around a metre of space between, and holdalls at the bed end too - massive!! Living area took easily our table and chairs, coolbox, boxes of food and cooking equipment, with plenty of room to move around. We often nosey around for comparison at other tents and gear, and we were very impressed with our new tent, compared to others 4 and 5 times the price!! No rain this trip, but very hot, so perhaps a side door, or window with mesh for more ventilation in the living area would help with airflow, but for the price, a really well made and designed tent, basic, but truly excellent build quality, an absolute bargain!! Our next trip will be further afield, and no doubt wetter too, but we have every faith in this tent, reading other reviews. Simply, brilliant!

nice tent but a let down on size

spacious living area and able to stand

more like a 3 man than a 4 man tent

used for 1 week or less Fairly easy to put up and looks great - really smart.
Loved the height and space of the living area but this tent would be better suited for 3 people. I bought this for myself and my 2 daughters age 12 and 15 to get into the camping bug - wanted a 4-man for a bit more space and to grown into but our 2 double airbeds didn't fit in without bending them up the sides. I can't see how it would be a 4-man tent.
Also really disappointed that it was so breezy and cold with the inner bedroom being open to the elements with it not being sewn in.

Response of the brand

Thanks for your feedback on the Arpenaz 4.1 family camping tent and I apologise your experience with the tent wasn't perfect. Product feedback is crucial to the development of out tents and I will be sure to feed this back to the product manager at Quechua.

We do offer the Apenaz 4.2 family camping tent: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/arpenaz-42-family-tent-4-man-id_8294503.html which has slightly more room. Should this be of interest, drop into one of our stores and take a look.

used for 2 to 8 weeks Great tent!! Really spacious with stand up porch it really is a great size.
Pretty heavy but worth it if you're not needing to carry it far (or have a strong man/woman to do that for you!)
For the price we are really impressed!
Looks great and is really easy to put up, colour coordinated and nice Velcro addition to secure porch ground sheet for water tightness!

Test Product QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200 mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. Tested in real conditions.
Restricted use : Sleeping space width max. 60 cm per person.
Stock advice Storage - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
Care instructions: 1 CLEANING: clean the tent with soapy water if necessary, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Dry completely before storage. 2 SAP STAINS: very difficult to clean: once dry, gently scratch the stain. Rubbing an ice cube on the underside will make it brittle, making it easier to remove. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
Guarantee : All of our tents can be repaired in your local Decathlon workshop.
