Waterproofing we measure a fabric's resistance to pressure from a jet of water, expressed in mm of the water jet (tests based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A waterproof score of 2000 mm means the fabric can withstand pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (the rough equivalent of a rain shower lasting for 2 hours).

Water repellency Water repellency is a fabric's ability to let water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. Water repellency is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (after every 2 or 3 washes). Water-repellent treatment products are available in our stores. All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.

Composition
Outer fabric: 100% Polyamide, lining: 100% Polyamide, wadding: 100% Polyester.
Care instructions:
Machine wash at 30°C. Use liquid detergent; do not add fabric softener. Close zips and rip-tabs before washing. Restore full water repellency by applying a treatment after every 2 or 3 washes. A range of products specially designed to help you care for waterproof and breathable fabrics are available in all Decathlon stores. These products will help you optimise your garment's performance and longevity.
