Stops working after a few months wait

  (United Kingdom)

40-49 years old    Man

2 5

used for 3 to 6 months I had one of these sensors which work well when I first got it. The one day half way through a ride it just stopped working. This was not due to water ingress as others have had problems with as it was dry inside. I tried changing the battery but my computer could not longer connect to the sensor.
To make this worse I asked for a replacement as was asked to return the old one by post. When I did this I was told it was no longer in stock and had been discontinued so asked for a refund. Now only two weeks later the are back in stock again. I have lost a lot of confidence in the customer service at decathlon and this product.

Response of the brand

Dear Sir,
This model was indeed out of stock and has been discontinued.  Some residual stock may have come back in but this was not expected.  I can assure you that you were not intentionally misinformed.

Cant get it to work

  (United Kingdom)

20-29 years old    Man

used for 1 week or less I bought one of these for my second bike hoping it would be compatible with my Btwin count14 computer. But i can't get it to work, the battery has charge as the green light comes on and the sensors are definitely close enough. Its the same speed and cadence sensor that came with my count 14 computer so i am confident i have set it up properly.
So it is odd that it doesn't work.

Response of the brand

Dear Sir,
The unit may be faulty.  It is possible that this is the case.
If you have tried everything then you may need to return it to us for a refund.  We no longer stock this item (the count 14) therefore we can't offer a replacement cadence sensor.
I do appreciate that this is a pain for you.
As a gesture of goodwill, we can replace your unit with this model as well as two cadence sensors ensuring that you can keep measuring your performance when on the bike.
It's the only solution we can provide I'm sorry to say.

Good value

Very reasonable price

Battery dead out of the box

  (United Kingdom)

used for 2 to 8 weeks Compared to other makes this makes good value, but check the battery before you leave the shop. Initial impressions are the quality is not on par with the other makes, but if I get a couple of years out of it, and it auto pauses less than my Garmin one I will be happy.

Another dead battery

Good value. Simple setup with Garmin 500.

Dead battery supplied.

used for 1 week or less Great value product! However as another reviewer noted this new item was supplied with a dead battery. Once replaced and "green" test light visible then the sensor was simple to detect/pair with my Garmin Edge 500 unit.

Supplied with dead battery

good value

dead battery out of the box & poor instructions

  (United Kingdom)

used for More than 1 year Once a new cr2032 battery was fitted the test button gave a green light from the led. It then paired easily with my Bryton Rider 40. Instructions do not state why why both rubber straps and zip ties are supplied, and whether the rubber strap needs to be fitted in a particular way. Having wirrten this I have just worked out that they do need to be fitted a particular way, with the ribbed section going underneath the foot of both units.
