used for 1 week or less We already have 4 tents but were looking for a smallish tent that had a porch we could sit in & watch the English rain.
After looking on the Decathlon website, we decided on this one & also reckoned the more expensive version with LED lights & a sunroof wasn't worth the extra. We put the £40 difference towards a new double sleeping bag.
This morning we pitched the tent in the garden after looking at the website video a couple of times. It went up easily & including untieing & adjusting all the guy ropes, it took 20 minutes. Taking it down took just 12 minutes.
Reckoning we could easily beat these times, we had another go a while later. By knowing what we were doing, we pitched it in 6 mins & dismantled it in 7. We reckon we could improve those times by a minute or two with more experience.
The instructions in the bag are clear enough if you follow them. If you can assemble flat pack furniture, you can easily cope.
A couple of nice touches are the 3 small hooks for hanging a lightweight light & the decent front door peak that should keep the inside dry when it is raining.
It's very large for 2 people & could sleep 4 at a push. The porch would be a squeeze for 4 though.
Off camping for 6 nights next week & don't foresee any problems. It seems a great tent for the price.
2 seconds Tent XXL 4

used for 2 to 8 weeks This is a light-weight tent suitable for last minute weekends away. Although rated as a four-man and the sleeping area is quite suitable, the living area is cosy with just 2 adults.
Good tent but not as easy as it looks!
very spacious. light. waterproof.
complex to put away. instructions useless.

used for 1 week or less Great tent, and fairly easy to put up but certainly not a 2 second job / 2 minute job, probably about 10 mins, which is great for such a good sized tent. Maybe 5 mins after you've done it a few times. Not as quick or easy to put away though.
On site, with no wifi, we couldn't watch the video, took us about half an hour to take down and we couldn't get it in the bag properly. Very frustrating. Instructions in tent bag are worse than useless.
Back at home and watching the video, still took about 30 mins, as the official video misses things out and makes it look a lot more simple than it is. Even now I've done it, I'll need the video again next time, and I think it'll take me a good few times before I can do it without watching the video.
Make sure you download the youtube video so you can watch it when you're setting up in case you don't have wifi...
Kept us v dry and warm, few drops of water through vent in the main front area but not a drop in sleeping area.
The tent took ten mins to fully erect pegs and all
sore neck from bending, lack of head room.

This is one of the easiest tents to erect and to take down. I would watch the video on you tube a few times to get the hang of it. I loved the ease of this tent and would use it again and again, though being honest it's a fab weekend tent not practical for longer trips. lack of storage and bugs crawling in main compartment was slightly annoying, though bedroom stayed bug free.
XXL a brill pop up
very easy to pitch, very large bedroom

got the tent home, looked on you tube on how to put up ,and take down, first time out 28/9/13 one night i'm made up with the XXL 110/10
Dimensions and weight 4.05m by 2.95m on the floor without guy ropes.
The very spacious 2.25m long by 2.80m wide bedroom can fit 2 sleepin'bed camp comfort beds with their headrests raised.
Mini-living area with 1.57m max headroom. Floor contact surface: 1.70m by 2.30m min and 2.80m max. 4 adults can easily be seated around a table with space for their belongings. Large storage bag.
Cover Disc: 93 cm diameter.
Entry/exit Its large door can be opened wide with a single movement. This door is fitted with a closable mosquito net - the overhanging flap allows it to be left open even when it's raining, keeping an outside view in all weather.
Pitching/folding Has a clever pitching system, with the groundsheet being put in place and attached to the tent before unfolding. Easy to position and pitch the tent correctly. Tent can be unfolded and set up in 2 minutes. Quick and easy to fold up thanks to the "EASY" system. (Please see videos at quechua.com).
Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm and for 4 hours!) and field tested before approval. (PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet. The flaps limit splashing on the groundsheet.
Ventilation There is 1 high back vent situated behind the bedroom, and the ceiling of the living space is fully ventilated. The flaps on the bottom of the flysheet can be attached to leave a space all round the tent. The entrance door incorporates an upper part that can be opened, leaving a mosquito net. The ventilation reduces natural condensation build-up.
Wind resistance We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the stays in position around the tent should remain habitable;e under wind speeds measuring 50 km/h at ground level.
Pegs Solid 6.5 mm diameter fibreglass poles.
5 mm galvanised steel pegs for good twisting resistance.
UV protection (protection against Ultraviolet rays) The fabric flysheet filters UV rays with a SPF of 30.
Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.
Guarantee All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your invoice or receipt gives proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked at your local Decathlon store.
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester bedroom, polyethylene groundsheet, solid fibreglass poles.
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water entering through seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel with a rotary table to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
Restricted use :
Please note: pitching takes around 2 minutes, not 2 seconds.
1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
