used for 1 week or less Just bought this tent mainly for taking on holiday as a beach tent/shelter, although I do also plan to use it on weekend car camping trips with the kids. I can't comment on what the tents like to sleep in yet as we've only used it in the day mainly in dry weather. The quality and finish of the tent is superb especially for the price range. It really does just pop straight out of the bag and goes up in about 5 seconds. Another minute to peg out and thats it. I'd read the reviews on here saying about it being difficult to get back in the bag so I gave it a good trial run at home expecting to have difficulties but honestly I found it really easy and went back in the bag at the first attempt. As others have said do watch the videos online and you shouldn't have any issues. The ventilation is brilliant and I love the little porch for putting bags, shoes, etc in. We have a very expensive Outwell airbeam tent as our main family camping tent so know a bit about tent quality and although I've not fully tested this Quechua tent out yet the quality of the seams, materials and little features have really impressed me. This particular model is quite large when fully erected ( I think its the biggest available in the pop up range) and takes up a good area. Not a problem for us but worth bearing in mind when comparing against the other smaller pop ups in the range. Overall a brilliant product and can't recommend highly enough. I just can't believe how cheap they are!! Grab one before somebody at Quechua/Decthalon catches on.

Great product!

Easy to use, fair price

used for 3 to 6 months This tent is perfect for tropical weather. As a wildlife photographer in northeastern Brazil, I often have to deal with rainstorms, as well as VERY hot weather. Having all those ventilations options, this tent is perfect for hot days, but it's also amzingly waterproof on heavy rainstorms. I've owned a 2 seconds 2 persons tent, which I don't consider a good choice for tropical regions - although perfect waterproof like this one, the lack of vent holes makes it impossible to sleep in when the temperature is above 28ºC - which is very frequent around here. The XL Air 3P is just the perfect choice.

The tent is not suitable for hiking long distances, obviously, because the folded package has a pretty large diameter and weighing more than 5 kg it's a pretty heavy load too.

The tent can accomodate easily 3 adults, although it's not impossible to accomodate 3 adults and a kid. I am 6 in. tall and I'm able to kneel inside (close to the door) and sit comfortably.

It's worth practicing assemble and disassemble the tent before leaving for camp. It's not very complicated, but certainly a little practice will make life easier at the camp site. Just follow the instructions and everything should go well. Do not worry about folding the tent as indicated: although the rods appear that will be broken, they resist surprisingly well.

I must add that I consider this tent beautifully engineered. It's really a work of art in design.

I definetely recommend this product!

Pitching/folding Instant pitch. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like, and if there's no wind, no need for pegs = ready to use!). Pegs included. Easy folding using our "easy" guiding system.
Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested: the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm (200mm/hour) for 4 hours! as well as in the most. (2000mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.
Ventilation Fly sheet with 2 side panels that can be moved apart and hooked onto the side guy ropes (opens from the inside). Air can circulate in the room. The mosquito nets keep the bedroom insect free. The ventilation panels can stay open when it rains and provide a view of the outside.
The bedroom's whole rear fly sheet can be raised from the inside by pulling on a cord.
Wind resistance We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the stays in position around the tent should remain habitable;e under wind speeds measuring 50 km/h at ground level.
Solid fibreglass: highly resistant to breaking.

Galvanised steel (Ø 5 mm): excellent resistance to twisting.
UV protection (protection against ultraviolet rays) The fabric flysheet filters UV rays with a SPF of 30.
Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.
Guarantee All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your invoice or receipt gives proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked at your local Decathlon store.
Composition 2000 mm PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester bedroom, polyethylene groundsheet, solid fibreglass poles.
Test Product QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 l of water/hour/sqm (200mm/h) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
Stock advice STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is PERFECTLY DRY to prevent odours and mould from forming.
Care instructions: 1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
