used for 2 to 8 weeks We absolutely love this pop up tent. It's fantastic for one or two night weekend camping trips. The last time we used ours it was raining so it was great to just pop it up with everything already in place (the inner tent) and nothing was wet! The tent kept the rain out and there was lots of it and we were lovely and dry in the morning...... It is easy to put away with the color coded clips although I prefer to put mine away without using the pull cord to create the figure of eight shape for folding. I find it a little tricky to do that alone so just prefer to fold it without the cord. It goes up so quickly with little pegging required so much so that you almost feel guilty that it didn't take long ha ha. If you decide to buy this product, I can almost guarantee that you will not be disappointed! :)

used for 1 week or less I bought this for a weekend away in Wales and I can honestly say that it was fully tried and tested after 3 days of constant showers and gusting wind.
The tent as expected was fully waterproof and flexed in the wind.In my opinion it performed just as well as any major branded tent would have.

Easy to put up and take down, although folding it in half to get it back into its bag for the first time was scary as you expect the poles to snap. We practised a few times before we went away!

I would definitely recommend it.

Superbly engineered for hot weather camping

Spacious, airy, easy packing, walk in entrance.

Wet packing is like wrestling a whale!

I bought this for a 50 day car camping holiday in the south of France in July and June - which I am just back from. I am a keen outdoor enthusiast with over 50 years of camping worldwide.

The tent was near perfect! As others have said brilliantly designed and engineered with lots of clever but simple features to make your camping that little bit more comfortable. This tent really does go up and down amazingly easy for such a big tent with its clever clip system.

It is a BIG tent - inside floor area about 7ft square so lots of room for 3 persons and quite luxurious with just two. A lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I have a similar 2 person tent and this is much bigger and more comfortable
It's tall enough to kneel, sit on a low chair and walk into bent - nice not to have to grovel into a tent on your knees!

Because the tent is square you can sleep any way round - one of those little things that can make a big difference to your quality of sleep.

We had a couple of torrential storms with localised flooding and the tent was totally waterproof. The porch works well. However most days were 34 degrees and the clever flaps and lifting back worked well - great to dive into for a quick insect free siesta. The mesh areas and flaps are designed such that even with the porch doors open and flaps up folk cannot easily look in.

So what is there not to like.?

The pegs are heavy and crude so I bought a pack of titanium ones from Alpkit.
Packing this tent is fast but it is a whole body experience - the first circle is about 4ft diameter, so if the tent is wet then you will get wet as you wrestle with it - wear your swim things!.
This would not be my choice for windy British weather - whereas I have found the more compact and robust two person tent is surprisingly good in strong winds and rain.

In summary a great buy and I highly recommend it.

Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested: the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm (200mm/hour) for 4 hours! as well as in the most. (2000mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.

  • 6

Ventilation Fly sheet with 2 side panels that can be moved apart and hooked onto the side guy ropes (opens from the inside). Air can circulate in the room. The mosquito nets keep the bedroom insect free. The ventilation panels can stay open when it rains and provide a view of the outside.
The bedroom's whole rear fly sheet can be raised from the inside by pulling on a cord.

  • 7

Wind resistance We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the stays in position around the tent should remain habitable;e under wind speeds measuring 50 km/h at ground level.

  • 8

Solid fibreglass: highly resistant to breaking.

Galvanised steel (Ø 5 mm): excellent resistance to twisting.

  • 9

UV protection (protection against ultraviolet rays) The fabric flysheet filters UV rays with a SPF of 30.
Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.

Test Product

QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 l of water/hour/sqm (200mm/h) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.

Stock advice

STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is PERFECTLY DRY to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Care instructions:

1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
