used for 1 week or less This was beyond my expectations, super easy to erect, and unbelievably easy to collapse and put away.

Absolutely Brillliant

Ease of Putting up/getting down

used for 2 to 8 weeks I wanted a good tent for camping trips. This tent is brilliant, Do watch the video to see how you get the tent down. Take time getting it down. I had a couple of practices before I went away.
It is roomy. There was just me and my Dog. The tent is huge inside. Like a big Den. The material looks sleek and cool.. Other campers even commented on the style.
Dont hesitate, This tent is ace

Easy Does It

Easy to set up and take down

3 man pop up arrived today and was up in no time at all - so simple, just unpack, unclip and thats it.

Folding away was simple too. Watch the video a few times and the design does most of the work. Only took a few minutes ..

Quechua 2 Seconds XL AIR 3 Tent

Very easy to erect

used for 2 to 8 weeks This tent is brilliant! I just used it for the first time in some foul weather in Scotland. It performed superbly. Completely dry inside and so easy to put up and take down. If this is the kind of thing you're looking for, get it!

Great Summer Tent, but not for the cold.

Quick to erect/fold, solid build, good ventilation

Can be cold in the night. Little instruction.

used for 2 to 8 weeks As you'd expect, this is a very quick to pitch tent and easy for the most part. What isn't very clear is what to do with the section at the opposite end to the door (which lifts up to vent), as this sits slightly in the air once pitched. The instructions aren't much help for this part, nor the online videos I watched (which are a must for learning to pitch and fold this tent).
The side vent flaps can be opened from outside and allow a view into the tent. You can just about operate all the vents from inside the tent too, though it's a bit fiddly.
Ventilation is great when it's hot, but the trade-off to this is you might need a few extra blankets when it's a cold night (even with vents closed).
The sleeping area is very roomy, enough for three, but great for two. The porch area is just big enough to be useful (allows you to remove shoes and not tread in the sleeping area etc.).
It is very light inside the tent, so once the sun comes up it's quite bright inside.
Collapsing and folding the tent is easy, although it can require a little bit of force to get all the clips to meet up (you connect some plastic clips to hold everything together, these are permanently attached to the tent so not something you can lose). This leaves the tent in a large ring, which you collapse further into a smaller ring and put in the bag. The small ring is still quite large though and will be a problem for a small car boot - I folded the rear seats to accommodate it.
It's a great tent, very clever design, and I'm very pleased with it - I've only knocked off a star for the poor instructions which left me guessing about some of the fiddly bits. That's the only reason for not giving it a "perfect" five. I'm not knocking off anything for the fact it can be chilly as it is clearly marketed as a well ventilated "AIR" tent - look elsewhere if you want something for cold climate camping.

Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested: the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm (200mm/hour) for 4 hours! as well as in the most. (2000mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.

  • 6

Ventilation Fly sheet with 2 side panels that can be moved apart and hooked onto the side guy ropes (opens from the inside). Air can circulate in the room. The mosquito nets keep the bedroom insect free. The ventilation panels can stay open when it rains and provide a view of the outside.
The bedroom's whole rear fly sheet can be raised from the inside by pulling on a cord.

  • 7

Wind resistance We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the stays in position around the tent should remain habitable;e under wind speeds measuring 50 km/h at ground level.

  • 8

Solid fibreglass: highly resistant to breaking.

Galvanised steel (Ø 5 mm): excellent resistance to twisting.

  • 9

UV protection (protection against ultraviolet rays) The fabric flysheet filters UV rays with a SPF of 30.
Please note: a significant amount of UV rays can enter through a single open door: protect your skin.

Guarantee All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your invoice or receipt gives proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked at your local Decathlon store.

Test Product

QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 l of water/hour/sqm (200mm/h) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.

Stock advice

STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is PERFECTLY DRY to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Care instructions:

1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then leave to dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - Can be very hard to remove Once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.
