Waterproofing Like all Quechua tents, special attention has been paid to the waterproofing, which is validated in lab tests (ENTIRE TENT placed under a shower of 200 litres/hour/m²!) and on field tests. (PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120g/m² polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet keeps away condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.

Ventilation 1 upper ventilation flap at the back, 2 low side flaps, breathable bedroom fabric. You can leave the bedroom door open at the top thanks to the 2-way zip. Everything is designed to allow air to circulate between the bedroom and fly sheet, for more breathability and to limit natural condensation.

Composition
PU-coated polyester flysheet, breathable polyester bedroom, polyethylene groundsheet, solid fibreglass poles.
Test Product
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved by a full tent shower of 200 L of water per square metre per hour. The water column test (=mm schmerber) is quite well known but isn't a good indicator for measuring tent waterproofing, only for fabric. Of course, the fabric needs to be waterproof (and is from 1,000 mm), but the tent must be designed and developed to keep water out of seams, flaps, openings, zips and so on. This is tested in a lab tent shower.
Restricted use :
Not compatible with mattresses and the Sleepin'bed 120 & 140 cm.
Stock advice
STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould forming.
Care instructions:
1 CLEANING - if needed, clean the tent with soapy water, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Then dry completely. 2 TREE SAP STAINS - ...very hard to remove: once the stain is fully dry, gently scratch it off while holding an ice cube on the inside of the fabric to make the sap brittle so it will come off more easily. 3 STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould forming.
